The table below depicts the deities in order as you
enter the temple. Starting with the Radha Krishna Statue on the middle right
of the screen. Then work you way around anti clockwise.
The Geeta Bhawan Mandir is Birmingham's leading Hindu temple. It was first
established in 1967. Radha Krishna:
The deity below was first brought to the temple on 17/10/1976. It has
been the focal point of the temple ever since.
Balaji: The deity below was first brought to the temple
on 25/5/1980.
Mataji: The deity below was first brought to the temple
on 27/6/1982.
Ram Darbar: The deity below was first brought to the
temple on 11/6/1995. It is the biggest of its kind in Europe. The deity
depicts the images of Lord Rama, his wife Sitaji, his brothers Lakshmana,
Shatrughana and Bharat. It also depicts Lord Hanuman kneeling at Lord
Rama's feet which is a familiar pose.
Shiv Mandir: The shivling below was first brought to
the temple in 1977. The place where it sits within the temple is also
know as Kameshwaram Mahadev. The shivling is the familiar way to represent
Lord Shiva.
Ganesh: The deity has not been brought to the temple
as yet. There is a picture of Lord Ganesh here at present.
Jai Jawalamata: This is the eternal flame that has been
alight since 1/2/1998.
