Aum or Om is the spiritual symbol of Hinduism. It is composed
of three syllables, namely the letters A U M and when it is written it has
a crescent and a dot on its top.
Aum is supposed to be the first word lettered. From this word all the
alphabets have come to exist, and the phonetics have been developed.
